Dorridge Day is a major event for Knowle and Dorridge Round Table, Ladies Circle and the local Dorridge community.

It is always held on the first or second Saturday in September at Dorridge Park, Dorridge, Solihull, West Midlands.

The purpose of Dorridge Day is to involve the whole community and providing a fun day for all and then we can raise money for local groups and charities within the community requiring financial assistance.

Each year the day has proved to be an amazing success raising over £5,000 for charities every year for some years now. Each year the Dorridge Day Chairman nominates the charities, which in the past have included Acorns Childrens' Hospice, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, as well as local groups and charities such as the Scouts and the Sea-Scouts.

Once again we have received superb and generous support from local businesses both with the publication of the programme and on the day itself. In particular, many thanks must go to all those local companies who took out advertisments in our programme. A special mention must also go to BRMB for the local radio coverage and the great job they do in entertaining the crowds and making the day work.

To make it a success, we sell programmes in advance of the day. This makes sure we have covered the costs of the day, so we can avoid the overheads of insuring the event. We normally arrange for a "big" event to ensure that there is something special for the visitors on the day.
